Medical Assistant (32 Hours/Week)
Neighborhood Gastroenterology & Nutrition is a growing outpatient specialty practice in Roswell, GA seeking a dependable, professional, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team.
This position combines traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with administrative support and patient care coordination. Because we're a lower-volume specialty practice, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while helping support our clinical operations and growing medical weight management program.
We're looking for someone who is organized, friendly, comfortable with technology, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. While clinical skills are important, we're equally focused on finding someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patient charts and exam rooms for clinic.
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories.
- Perform blood draws and process laboratory specimens as needed.
- Assist providers with patient care and occasional in-office procedures.
- Track lab results and communicate updates to patients.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist patients with questions.
- Follow up with patients regarding appointments, lab results, and medical weight management program communications.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, our providers, and contracted health coaches/program partners.
- Escalate clinical questions or concerns to the practice manager.
- Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Support both clinical and administrative office operations while following established office policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- Blood draw experience preferred.
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and other computer systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Professional appearance and willingness to follow office policies, procedures, and dress code.
- Friendly, outgoing, coachable, and eager to learn.
- Highly dependable, self-motivated, and committed to following established office procedures. Takes initiative, stays engaged throughout the workday, and contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Must live within approximately 20 miles of our Roswell office.
Schedule
- 32 hours per week Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm.
- Opportunity for additional hours as the practice continues to grow.

Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
